Description
The Space performing arts centre at Sevenoaks School welcomes audiences to its award-winning performance venues.
Home to a concert hall, recital room, theatre and studio, since opening in 2010 we
have hosted a diverse range of musicians, ensembles and artists including The Sixteen, the King’s Singers, Sir Willard White, Joe Stilgoe, clarinettist Emma Johnson and the London Welsh Male Voice Choir.
The Space is also a cinema venue, with regular screenings from National Theatre Live and Royal Ballet; Opera in our 400-seat Pamoja Hall.
Our lively speaker programme encompasses literature, science, the humanities and the arts, with former speakers including Simon Armitage, AC Grayling, Professor Chris Stringer, Clive Myrie and Charlie Higson. We also host community events, including the annual Sevenoaks Summer Festival, local choirs and orchestras, and the Sevenoaks Young Adult and Teens Literary Festival.
The Space provides Sevenoaks School and the surrounding community with enviable facilities to hire for the performing arts and beyond, from concerts and plays to talks and lectures. It is also a superb choice for conferences, training courses and corporate opportunities, and has a small gallery space.
The multi-purpose performance spaces comprise the Pamoja Hall, large enough for symphonic orchestras, the versatile Sackville Theatre, the Ordovsky-Tanaevsky Drama Studio and the Recital Room, perfect for a more intimate setting.
We very much look forward to welcoming you to The Space.
