Hilden Grange

At Hilden Grange  the happiness of our pupils and the positive atmosphere at the school are evident as soon as you step through the door.  The combination of small classes and close relationships between staff and children provide a supportive setting where pupils flourish.

Subject specialist teaching is at the heart of everything we do: from drama lessons in the Nursery and computing in Year 1 to science investigations in the Prep School, our subject specialist teachers are passionate about instilling a joy of learning.   From Year 3 every lesson is taught by a subject specialist and our pupils greatly enjoy the variety that this provides.   Setting in Mathematics and English from Year 3 also ensures that pupils are taught at the pace that best suits their abilities.   Pupils gain impressive examinations results.  With 61 scholarships gained to leading independent schools in the past three years alone, this speaks volumes about the quality of the teaching.  We are equally proud of the wealth of extracurricular opportunities on offer.

Our Early Years teachers all share a passion for outdoor learning which forms a vital part of the curriculum.   The outdoor learning area was completely redesigned in 2017 to provide a stunning site with huge scope for play, discovery and exploration.  Children love experimenting with the interactive water wall, brewing potions in the outdoor kitchen, sharing stories in the Hobbit House and challenging themselves on the large play equipment.

To discover how your child could benefit from a Hilden Grange education, please come to our Open Morning on February 27th February.  Tours will take place throughout the morning, from 9am to 12noon.
