Build Confidence, Resilience and Character through Sport at Caterham School

Caterham School is an ambitious, high-achieving day and boarding school where academic excellence sits alongside a commitment to developing well-rounded young people. Sport plays a key role in this wider educational experience, whether you’re a country, county or scholarship level or simply love sport.

We believe that engaging in sport and physical activity enables young people to realise their full potential, developing qualities that support success both on and off the field. Effort, commitment and consistency are at the heart of our sporting programme, helping pupils experience success, overcome challenges and build resilience for life.

Our programme is built around participation for all. Through PE, Games and Turnouts, pupils enjoy a wide range of opportunities to compete, develop skills and represent the School. An extensive fixture programme ensures teams at all levels can experience the enjoyment of competition, teamwork and sportsmanship. For pupils with a passion for sport, specialist coaching and development opportunities are available through the Caterham Athletic Programme, alongside our hockey, netball and swimming academies. We are also proud to offer an exciting new football programme in partnership with Crystal Palace for Life Foundation. Supporting every level of participation are exceptional facilities, including outstanding grass pitches, a floodlit Astroturf, a 25-metre indoor swimming pool, a state-of-the-art fitness suite and Sports Centre.
